Position Overview
The Assistant Corporate Controller will support the financial operations of our general contracting firm, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective financial management. This role plays a critical part in the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes, while also contributing to the overall strategic goals of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports for senior management.
• Oversee job cost accounting and ensure accurate tracking of project costs and profitability.
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
• Prepare AIA billing and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Support the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
• Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and forecasts for various construction projects.
• Utilize construction accounting software such as Sage, Vista, and Viewpoint for financial management.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support the Corporate Controller and CFO in strategic financial planning and analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in construction accounting or corporate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and financial reporting standards.
• Experience with accounting software such as HCCS, Sage, Vista, and Viewpoint.
• Familiarity with AIA billing processes and union accounting.
