Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Development Manager - LIHTC to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall project development and management of affordable housing developments, including Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), Commercial, multi-family, and construction projects. This individual must be able to interpret complex regulations and financial models and have an excellent understanding of the real estate development process.
Key Responsibilities:
-Research and analyze potential development sites and associated costs and benefits
-Develop financial models for prospective projects using Excel modeling and financial modeling tools
-Manage the due diligence process for acquisitions and dispositions
-Prepare reports and presentations for partners and investors
-Monitor project progress and ensure all deadlines and objectives are met
-Manage all aspects of the development process, including budgets, negotiations, and tenant relations
-Stay abreast of industry, legal, and regulatory changes and apply them to projects
-Ensure compliance with LIHTC and other affordable housing regulations
-Partner with architecture, engineering, and construction teams on each project
-Assist with project financing and investor relations
Qualifications:
-Bachelors Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field
-5+ years of experience in development, real estate, LIHTC, and/or affordable housing
-Strong financial and Excel modeling skills
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
-Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations
