Lab Manager
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lab Manager to oversee laboratory operations and ensure compliance with quality standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing lab staff, maintaining equipment, and implementing quality control measures to support our research and production activities in the food science sector, particularly focusing on dairy products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day laboratory operations and staff performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality control checks and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and calibration to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage the laboratory budget and assist in cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage the procurement of lab supplies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and testing.
- Prepare and present reports on laboratory findings and recommendations.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in laboratory management, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and standards, including HACCP.
- Experience in budget management and inventory control.
- Certifications in Six Sigma and ASQ preferred.
- Familiarity with dairy product testing and analysis techniques.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
