Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Trafford Area on-site)

Salary: $110k - $130k depending on experience

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead innovative design projects and enhance our product development processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical systems and components, focusing on power systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components for power systems applications.
Conduct detailed engineering analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and thermodynamic assessments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement design solutions that meet project specifications.
Utilize SolidWorks and Autodesk Inventor for 3D modeling and prototyping of mechanical components.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and reports throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure successful project delivery.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on mechanical design principles.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering
Knowledge of power systems.
Proficient in SolidWorks and/or Autodesk Inventor.
Strong knowledge of Finite Element Analysis, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics principles.
Experience in mechanical design, prototyping, and materials science.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and kinematics.
Excellent project management skills and experience leading engineering projects.
