Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax management and be a certified public accountant (CPA). They will be responsible for overseeing our tax department and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. The Senior Tax Manager will play a vital role in the success of our company by providing expert tax advice and guidance to our clients and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liability for our clients- Review and prepare tax returns, including but not limited to individual, corporate, partnership, and trust returns- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate them to relevant parties within the company- Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support as needed- Conduct tax research and analysis to identify potential tax savings opportunities- Review and manage tax audits and disputes with tax authorities- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance- Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide excellent customer service- Utilize tax software, such as Quickbooks and Lacerte, to prepare and review tax returns
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tax Manager or similar role- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations- Proficiency in tax software, such as Quickbooks and Lacerte- Excellent leadership and communication skills- Ability to manage and mentor a team of tax professionals- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Attention to detail and accuracy- Customer service-oriented with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients- Experience with tax audits and disputes preferred but not required.
